The Roman Emperor Caracalla did not get along with his brother Geta so well. After a few years of joint rule, Caracall killed Geta and ordered a "Damnatio memoriae" or a damnation of his memory, erasing his existance from all official documents, records, inscriptions, etc. Here we see the family portrait with Geta's face scratched out.
