Check out the new blog. The permablog. http://glenarthur.blogspot.com/ September 25, 2007 Well school is back in full swing, and it's my final year. Yay! I won't have time to continue updating until the holidays (boo) but if you ever see me in person, just ask to see the photo album. Jerome finally got it all together, it's a beauty! See you all in the very near future! August 31st OK, OK, I've been galavanting across the country and neglected to post updates. Well.... tada! I'm home!!!! Here is the rundown of everything that I've been upto since that last post on August 20th. I'll try to do a day-by-day thing (with pictures to follow, naturally). Here goes: August 22 (Loc: Sydney) Did absolutely nothing, lol. Final relaxation in the 'burbs, getting some laundry done, in preparation for the monstrously long flight, and fun times planned in Western Canada. August 23 (Loc: the Pacific) Ok.... a timeline is needed to correctly describe the 41hr day. 10am (Aug 23 in Sydney) Flight takes off 11:50pm (Aug 22 in Hawaii) Flight lands 1:30am (Aug 23 in Hawaii) Flight takes off 10am (Aug 23 in Vancouver) Flight lands. That was a 17 hr total flight, and we left Sydney at the same time on the same day as we arrived in Vancouver. Trippy! and ohhhh the jet lag. August 24 (Loc: Vancouver) Spent the day (& night) with Paula and Colleen. Started out in Delta, BC, and did some driving around in the rental car, did the nightlife thing. And ohhhh man, saw a helicopter on a private yacht. wtf is that? who has a private yacht big enough to land a helicopter on? for serious... August 25 (Loc:Driving) I dunno how we managed it without really stopping for anything other than lunch and gas, but it took us 13.5 hrs to drive from Vsncouver to Edmonton. I think we took the scenic highway to Kamloops... stupid beautiful scenic highway. August 28 (Edmonton) Ok, so I went to West Ed. Mall 3 days in a row... you really can't blame me, it's like going to Square One without the possibility of getting lost. Very pleasant experience when it's not absolutely packed. Those guys are absolute cheaters for claiming to have the world's largest mall. The wavepark and ice rink and amusement park and casino and hotel and water sports (with pirate ship) simply dont count. It'd be like having vaughn mills and wonderland as one. whatever. More Importantly!!!! JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE FEAT TIMBALAND CONCERT!!!!!!! Enough astericks? Nope! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I actually had to plug my ears at one point, the crowd was just insane! What a performance, for real.... from the great dance moves (yes, he's the next MJ), to the ballads, the great dancers and musicians and vocalists, to the GREAT set. Wow, I could rant and rave about that set. It was exciting, as an engineer, lol. Yes, I'm a nerd. And the guy also knows how to work a crowd. Colleen and I managed to score decently priced tix on ebay. What a night. It was definitely worth every penny spent. What a way to end a month long vacation! OLD ENTRIES August 20 Well, finally settled back in Harrington Park, on the outskirts of Sydney. Got the pictures off the camera, and they are amazing! What a time we had up north in Queensland. Check out the new pics that I've added on the bottom left hand side of this page. Yeah, I know, the page is getting cluttered (haha) but who spends their vacation time uncluttering? Anyway, check out the pics! August 18, 9:45am AEST Leaving Great! Keppel Island Resort... pics and fun details to follow! August 14, 10pm Rockhampton Plaza Hotel! ok, it's not a REAL "Plaza Hotel", but it's a hotel... tomorrow we leave for the island of Great Keppel (Kappel?!? i dunno which is the correct spelling). but ohh man. I am absolutely frigid to the core. Jerome and I made the mistake of hopping into the swimming pool about half an hour ago. Salt water pool, really cool. But they've never heard of warming the pool. Fun times tho, nice shrinking shock. As for the postcards... they're in the mail. kinda. most of them haven't actually been mailed yet. my bad. Probably wont get a chance to add the newest pictures until Sunday at the earliest. And we may have lost the pics from the AFL game that we went to. Ah well. August 14 Brisbane Airport... spent a couple of quick days in Brisbane with the Hills, old friends of my dad. Great city this Brisbane, absolutely beautiful, and they make great use of the river that winds throughout. Toronto could learn a thing or two about use of the waterfront. Off to Rockhampton in a couple of hours (man, we a The old Blog...
